About the DME Academy

The Daisy Meadows Equestrian Academy focuses on building well-educated and safe equestrian athletes while maintaining a fun and positive environment. The academy is great for both recreational riders and riders who wish to develop their skills to a high performance and/or competitive level.

Our range of wonderful academy horses and certified instructors can help you achieve your equestrian goals!

  • On and Off-Property Showing Opportunities
  • Opportunities to complete Equestrian Canada Rider Level Testing

Rider Requirements

Experience:No prior riding experience required
Age:Six years old and up
Weight Limit:250lbs
Footwear: Sturdy boots that cover the ankle with a minimum heel height of 1/2”, such as rain boots or riding-specific boots
Apparel:Long pants such as jeans or leggings, boots that cover the ankle with at least a 1″ heel. Or wear proper riding apparel (breeches, paddock boots)
Helmet:Riders are required to bring their own riding helmet
Gloves:Light gloves, such as gardening gloves or riding-specific gloves, are not required but are strongly recommended

If riders do not meet the specified requirements or attend their lesson with the listed apparel, they will not be permitted to ride.


Academy Refund Policy

DME Academy fully understands how life circumstances can change and how learning to ride and connect with the horse and instructor can have challenges. We do our absolute best to accommodate any changes that need to be made to your purchase, including lesson dates, horse preferences and instructors.

To help keep our program running smoothly for everyone involved we are unable to offer refunds, credits or make-up lessons. If DME Academy is required to close due to severe weather or an emergency, all paid will be notified via the primary email contact and via a post on our social media pages.

If DME Academy must initiate a closure of lessons, a refund or credit for the missed lesson will be provided. For any further inquiries please contact us via email at lessons@daisymeadowsequestrian.com
