Katie Anderson started riding in 2010, since the age of 12 and started training under Sarah Daisy Kosa in 2011. Daisy found Katie’s first horse Indianna jones, which she bought in 2012. Since she bought Indy, her main focus has been on dressage. Under Daisy’s tutelage, she has progressed from the early learning process stages of riding up to competing Prix Saint George.
Some of Katie’s competition highlights include; in 2013 they competed at the eastern Ontario silver dressage championships earning themselves reserve champion. In the 2014-2015 show season Katie and Indy competed in third level with scores to 60%. In the 2015 show season she also showed another horse, Althea, owned by Katharine Renison and trained by Daisy Kosa, to third level and FEI Junior classes, getting scores to 64%. Katie and Althea also attended the gold championships, earning themselves eastern Ontario reserve champions for FEI Junior classes.
Currently, Katie is focusing on continuing to perfect her skills and also helping with young horse development. Her future goals are to one day compete at the level of Grand Prix.
