Horse(s): Man In the Moon, Jack of All Trades
Before I could walk I was on a horse. I have been riding consistently for 20 years, showing schooling and Trillium circuit on and off over the years. From the age of 7-14 I spent my summers at an all girls overnight horse camp, Kemur, in Cambridge. Then when I turned 15 they invited me back as a camp counsellor which I enjoyed for a number of years. I began to teach riding lessons at West Lincoln Equestrian Farm in 2006 and still have a number of my original students that have followed me over the years.
While I was attending the University of Guelph for Biomedical Science I completed on the University’s Equestrian Team. After completing 7 years of school I can say I am now a registered Chiropodist (foot specialist) and work during the days and enjoy my horses on nights and weekends. I own Jackson a 10 year old Paint who is your definition “bombproof” horse. And I also own Mikey, a Clyde/ Hanoverian/ Paint Cross. Both horses are allrounders and have done everything from 1.0 jumpers, foxhunting, cow sorting, and beginner riding lessons. I am excited to be joining the MJM coaching team and will be coaching on Monday nights.
